YOU NEED TO VOTE

Yiddishkeit in Eretz Yisroel has always been defined as the Torah-true Yiddishkeit.

While in the past, many Jews in Israel identified themselves as non-observant, they knew that the Judaism they were not practicing was that of our mesorah, and respected our Torah values. Important values such as separate areas for men and women to daven at mekomos hakedoshim or that frum Rabbanim should be the ones overseeing marriage and gittin were the norm. But, in recent years, elements from within American Jewry have infiltrated Israeli society and are spearheading a campaign to discredit much of what is sacred.

The WZO Is Allowing Pluralism Movements To Influence Eretz Yisroel.

The platform that enables and finances much of these efforts is the World Zionist Organization. The WZO works with the Jewish Agency and other national trusts to distribute significant funding to projects and movements they wish to advance.

What does this have to do with me?

Five years ago, pluralistic American Jewish groups ran an effective election campaign, and succeeded in gaining major influence over the WZO. (In an Email the URJ Union for Reform Judaism wrote: “So much of the dramatic growth of our Movement in Israel throughout the past five years can be traced directly to our success in the 2015 WZO election.”) The result? Five years of intensive and well-funded battles waged for the erosion of Torah values in Israeli society. Already, Israeli public schools are replacing their rabbinic Tanach staff with teachers who not only do not believe in Torah m’Sinai but subscribe to strains of Judaism that do not believe in our mesorah at all.

Already, young people are being invited to Yom Kippur events run by non-Orthodox Jewish clergy, replete with a Yom Kippur meal. They want equal access to all areas of the Kosel for women to be part of a minyan, lead the prayers, pray as and worship as they see fit, with no regard for our mesorah.

Are you ok with this?

If you are, then you can do nothing. If you’re not ok with this, then you NEED to VOTE!

The Eretz HaKodesh Initiative

Every American Jew is eligible to vote in this election, which will choose the 152 American delegates to the WZO. Whichever slate gets more votes will receive more delegates, and more influence.

The Eretz HaKodesh slate, is putting forth delegates running on a platform of Torah values.

The numbers are simple: Last election, 57,000 American Jews voted, the majority for pluralistic slates.

We need to surpass those numbers.

The numbers are on our side. We represent the most active and passionate group of Jews worldwide. Just like 100,000+ Yidden came out recently to show their love of Torah at The Siyum HaShas, we are certain we can get that many Jews to declare their love for Torah values in Eretz Yisroel.

Am I now a Zionist? Is this something appropriate for me to get involved in?

This is not something we want to do, it’s something we NEED to do.

We understand that this is not something you have likely done before. But, there is too much at stake. But, don’t worry. Participation in the elections is not an endorsement of anything the WZO was or is. Who loves Eretz Yisroel and understands it’s significance more than us? – those who cry on Tisha B’av and who daven 3 times a day – Vesechezena eineinu beshuvcha l’Tzion berachamim. More than any other segment of Klal Yisroel, it is only Torah true Jewry that has never lost its love for Tzion.

Why does it cost money?

The $7.50 charge to vote is not supporting the WZO.
It is an administrative fee that covers the cost of the election, and it provides security making sure no one votes more than once, since each credit card or payment source can only be used twice.
